All is set for the maiden edition of Apapa Games, billed for April 28, to May 2, 2025.
The games which will be held in three centres will see over 200 young athletes compete in eight sports, namely football, boxing, tennis, table tennis, karate, chess, dart and tug of war.
The programme will be hosted by the Apapa Local Government Chairman, Idowu Adejumoke Senbanjo.
In a press statement, Dr. Mike Egbayelo, Special Adviser on Education, Youth and Sports, said the programme would serve as tool for empowering youths in the Port City Council while he also emphasised that sports play a prominent role in the unity of the country.
He urged participants to take full advantage of the games to unleash their talents to the sport- ing world, stressing it could be the launch pad for their careers in sports.
