The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining support for the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA) and other security agencies across the state.
The Fund emphasised that security remains a critical pillar for economic growth, social stability, and investor confidence in Lagos.
Executive Secretary of LSSTF, Dr Ayodele Ogunsan, made this known during a working visit to the LNSA headquarters, where he commended the agency’s operational efficiency, technological advancement, and grassroots-driven policing model.
Ogunsan, who visited the facility alongside the Fund’s Director of Administration, Adegbola Lewis, was received by the General Manager of LNSA, Dr Ifalade Oyekan, and other top officials of the agency.
In a ceremonial display underscoring the significance of the visit, Ogunsan was accorded a mounted guard of honour and decorated with the LNSA Medal of Honour, alongside the presentation of a commemorative lapel pin in recognition of his contributions to strengthening Lagos’ security architecture.

The visit also featured an extensive inspection of the agency’s facilities and operational assets, including surveillance drones, body-worn cameras, and other modern equipment deployed to enhance intelligence gathering and rapid response capabilities.
Speaking after the inspection, Ogunsan expressed satisfaction with the strides recorded by the agency, particularly highlighting the effectiveness of its community policing strategy.
“The strength of the LNSA lies in its people-oriented approach. Officers who live and serve within their communities are better positioned to build trust, gather intelligence, and respond effectively to security challenges,” he said.
He reiterated that the LSSTF would continue to provide the necessary support to strengthen security operations across the state.
In his response, Oyekan expressed appreciation for the sustained partnership with LSSTF, noting that the support has been instrumental to the agency’s operational successes.
He reaffirmed that the agency’s neighbourhood-based policing model remains central to its mandate of proactive crime prevention and effective security delivery.
