Super Eagles and Atalanta attacker, Ademola Lookman has started the year with a high as he was nominated for the EA SPORT FC’s team of the year in the attacking category.
The EA SPORTS FC team of the year is one of the only fan voted football awards across the globe. The voting process gives fans the chance to have their say on players who they believe are the best in their respective positions.
Lookman was nominated alongside several other superstar attackers in the Serie A including Lautaro Martinez, Dusan Vlahovic, Christian Pulisic, Marcus Thuram, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Artem Dovbyk.
He’ll also be competing against English premier league stars such as Erling Haaland, Bukayo Saka, Mohammed Salah, Phil Foden, Ollie Watkins, and Heung Min Son.
The list of nominees also include elite players from the Ligue 1 and Bundesliga such as Bradley Barcola, Jonathan David, Ousmanne Dembele, Alexandre Lacazette, Harry Kane, Omar Marmoush, Serhou Guirassy, Denis Undav, and Lois Openda.
The best players in the La Liga were not left out as Lamine Yamal, Vinicius Junior, Raphinha, Kylian Mbappe, Robert Lewandowski, and Antoine Griezmann all made the shortlist. Viktor Gyökeres was also nominated alongside two of the greatest players ever, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Fans who want to vote can see the full list of nominees and submit their votes for the men’s TOTY XI on the EA SPORTS FC official website before the deadline.
According to the organizers, voting will close on Sunday, January 12, giving football fans and the FC community plenty of time to evaluate who they believe is worthy of making the team of the year.
The team will then be unveiled in EA SPORTS FC 25 from Wednesday, January 15, before being made available on EA SPORTS FC Mobile from Tuesday, January 21.
