… Unveils new book entitled ‘Call to Love’
The epoch making event which held at the upscale Eko Hotel and Suites Victoria Island Lagos was a remarkable gathering of dignitaries, humanitarian leaders, faith-based personalities, and well-wishers as Little Saints Orphanage, one of Nigeria’s foremost child care and humanitarian institutions, the first indigenous private orphanage registered in Lagos State since 1994, hosted dignitaries from far and wide for this historic three-in-one celebration in honour of its Founder, Rev. Mrs. Christiana Bamidele George.
The special event was designed to commemorate three major milestones in the life and legacy of the renowned humanitarian and child rights advocate: the 70th Birthday Celebration of Rev. Mrs. Christiana Bamidele George, the 32nd Anniversary Celebration of Little Saints Orphanage, and the official unveiling of her newly authored book titled “Call to Love.”
The remarkable event which took place on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at the prestigious Eko Hotels & Suites, Lagos, attracted several distinguished guests despite the flash flood that hit Lagos that evening.
Among many distinguished guests was Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Social development . Mr Olalekan Biliamin Oba, a representative of His Excellency, Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu. Also in attendance was Mrs Kay Ovia of Zenith Bank and Pastor Kola Ayeni CEO of GDL
At the event was respected cleric Bishop Peace Okonkwo, who served as the Guest Minister of Honour, while the celebrant herself, Rev. Mrs. Christiana Bamidele George, hosted the historic gathering.

For over three decades, Little Saints Orphanage has remained a symbol of compassion, hope, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of vulnerable, abused and abandoned children in Nigeria. Founded in 1994 by Rev. Mrs. George, the orphanage has touched countless lives through its dedication to providing shelter, education, healthcare, and emotional support to children in need.
The Little Saints Orphanage in collaboration with the ministry of youths and social development in Lagos state facilitated adoption in Lagos State with many children placed in loving families all over the world in the past 32 years.
The unveiling of Rev George’s book ‘Call to Love’ is expected to provide an intimate insight into Rev. Mrs. George’s lifelong journey of compassion, sacrifice, faith, and commitment to humanity.
The book captures lessons from decades of service and is positioned to inspire individuals, institutions, and communities toward embracing love-driven service to society.
Speaking ahead of the celebration, organizers described the event as more than just an anniversary gathering, but a celebration of a life devoted to service, the enduring legacy of humanitarian impact, and a renewed call for compassion in building a better society.
The event also featured a special music ministration by Gospel music minister Temitayo Benson who is the newly appointed Director of the Little Saints Orphanage and one of the biological daughters of the Founder Rev Mrs Dele George.
Temitayo Benson is clearly committed to carrying on the great legacy of love, compassion and service to God and humanity as her mother Rev George has done for the past 3 decades.
Temitayo Benson delivered a powerful worship/praise session followed by a touching rendition of her New Single ‘Jesus mo ni fe re’ Produced by Dejikeys.
Her songs shine the light on Christ and the need to love and support the vulnerable in society who she says are “the objects of our love”.
Her ministration pulled on the heartstrings of guests and added beauty and excitement to what promised to be an unforgettable evening of celebration and reflection.
As Little Saints Orphanage marks 32 years of transforming lives, stakeholders, friends, supporters, and members of the public were invited to celebrate a woman whose life’s work has become a beacon of hope for countless children and families across Nigeria.
