The First Lady of Kebbi State, Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris has called for an increase in the women participation in politics in KebbI state.
She made the call while speaking to newmen immediately after casting her Vote at Nagari Science college, polling unit in Birnin Kebbi.
According to her, ”Our democracy must reflect the richness of perspective what both men and women would bring to the table. So when more women participate actively in politics, there will be more contribution to our societal development ”.
Zainab therefore
emphasized the need for intentional and deliberate efforts to boost Women to actively participates in politics.
While commending the massive turn out of voters particularly women for the local government election, she equally lauded the Kebbi State electoral Commission (KESEC) for their efforts to conduct smooth and peaceful Councils election across the state.
