The CP  also stated that the Eko Strike Force was created to complement  the Rapid Response Squad(RRS) .

The   CP also revealed  that the unit, which started with only five vehicles provided by the Lagos State Government, has expanded significantly to  17  operational vehicles, including tactical patrol vans and three  Armored  Personnel Carriers ( APC) to enhance crime-fighting capacity.

He continued that:” Our overt teams patrol the streets to reassure residents, while the covert tactical teams work underground to track criminals. Because of this structure, our response time to incidents in Lagos is now less than five minutes in many cases.”
