Chairman, Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) Iba Division Area E Command,Lagos State, Andy Ogbu, has appealed to Nigerians to contribute financially to assist the police in some areas that they need help.
The cleric made the appeal during PCRC Annual end-of-year party and award ceremony last week.
He called on citizens, especially corporate organisations and businessman to support the police with whatever they could to enable them fight crimes and criminality to the bearest minimum as crime could not be wiped out completely.
On his own, Public Relations Officer(PRO) of PCRC Iba Division, Philip E. Uzor, said that that the organisation has contributed in the area of security and maintaining peace and unity in the area.
He said Founded in 2007, PCRC Iba Division, has been instrumental in transforming the Iba community into a safer and more livable environment.
He highlighted the organisation’s significant impact, particularly in the establishment of Area E Command, which was previously a mere Police Post.
Uzor expressed gratitude to five patrons, who have provided substantial financial support to PCRC Iba Area E Division: Stephen Amaechi Chinemelum, Tony Chinemelum, Sir Kingsley Aniekee, Theo Ugah, and HRM. Oba Suliman Adeshina Raji, the Oniba Ekun of Iba Kingdom. He also urged the Local Council Development Area (LCDA) and Local Government (LG) Chairmen to increase their support to further enhance security efforts in Iba and Ojo.
He emphasized the goal of making an even greater difference in 2025.
The organisation also honoured numerous individuals and organizations for their contributions to community safety and development.

The event was attended by dignitaries, members, and community well-wishers, celebrating the organization’s contributions to maintaining peace and security in the area.
