Lagos Fashion Festival: Comfort, elegance, razzmatazz redefine spring collection

The dream of all designers is to make their clients look gorgeous, smart and beautiful for all occasions.
The duo of Aishida Oladugba, Co-Founder, Design Director/Illustrator and Ayomitunde Adegoke, Co-Founder, Creative Director/Designer at Comfort Fashion House belong to the band of passionate designers who would go to any length to please their patrons.
Recently, the pair set the runway agog when they showcased their Spring Elegance Collection at the Lagos Fashion Festival. They displayed artistic expression in their works, with pretty models strutting the runway in diverse, stylish and comfy dresses.
The designers worked with modern fabrics like crepe; mesh net, Chantilly lace, satin and velvet.
However, the styles that thrilled the audience most were the mini-fitted dresses sewn with crepe fabric.
For the creative process, Ayomitunde Adegoke should be commended for her ingenuity. Her combination of different fabrics, colours and styles was perceptible and on point.
In their choice of fabrics, the designers thought out-of-the-box by utilizing modern fabrics like crepe, velvet, mesh net, satin, and Chantilly lace. The tapestry of designs that came out of their choices made the collection standout.
Innovative and laudable The idea of creating mini-fitted dresses sewn with crepe fabric was innovative and laudable. Guests found them exceptionally attractive, especially the one with short black square neckline bustier and balloon sleeve mixed with gold fabric under layer, forming a two-step flare.
The tube micro-overlapped dress with a mesh net underneath and a bow in front was equally beautifully crafted. Also fit for mention was the short dress turtleneck long sleeve mixed with Chantilly lace. However, the all-black maxi six-piece skirt with a crop top and balloon sleeve, and stylishly designed with black velvet emerged the salt of the collection.
Talking about versatility and adaptability, some of the designs in the Spring Elegance Collection come handy. They can be adapted for formal and informal outings. Though, some of the clothes looked casual, they were still gorgeous and elegant.
Comparatively, the Spring Elegance Collection projected an original and authentic look.
