Kano has abolished non-indigeneship – Ganduje

Kano Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has said the state has abolished non indigeneship, following the recent quite notice ultimatum issued to the Igbos living in the northern part of the country.
Speaking in Abuja. yesterday, when he visited the national secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ganduje further noted that everybody residing in the state is now an indigene of Kano, and stressed that the state has been an example of national integration, even though there are some indigenes with primordial claims.
The governor, who also commented on the recent face-off with the Emir of Kano Muhammad Sanusi II, said the misunderstanding has been resolved amicably. “I’m not aware of any compromise by the House of Assembly but, I know that I personally wrote to them, asking them to discontinue the investigation because of so many requests by some highly-placed individuals in the country. Clearly, the reasons were mentioned in the letter to the assembly and was widely published in the newspapers..”
