Kano State All Progressives Congress has invalidated the purported suspension of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje by some party officials at Ganduje Ward in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State.
While voiding the exercise, the State Working Committee of the party equally announced the immediate suspension of the local leaders behind the plot to suspend the National Chairman of the party.
Kano State APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas who spoke to journalists on the issue on Monday explained that they have also commenced investigation into allegations of anti party activities leveled against these ward party members.
“We have evidence of a meeting between Kano state government officials and those that claimed to have suspended the National Party Chairman and the State Working Committee (SWC) has agreed to sanction them for six months and they now stand suspended” Abbas declared.
Earlier, Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area Chairman of the APC , Inusa Sulieman Dawanau accused those behind the suspension of gross misbehavior and anti- party activities, adding that the party was in possession of the records of their meeting with the opposition party in the state.
It could be recalled that earlier on Monday; some members of the All Progressives Congress in Ganduje Ward in Dawakin- Tofa Local Government Area announced the suspension the National Chairman of the party.
The party’s ward Legal Adviser, Halliru Gwanzo who had briefed the press stated that the suspension was with immediate effect.
He had claimed that the suspension was due to the allegation of corruption leveled against him by the Kano State Government.
