Professional Triathlete, Entrepreneur and Philanthropist Justin John Kaufmann popularly known as ‘MorningKaufy’, has funded the acquisition and donation of essential and relief materials to refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), in settlements and camps around Nigeria. The donations he said were organized under the auspices of the Ironman foundation.

Kaufmann, who only a few days ago, visited the survivors and families of the victims of gun violence in Texas, informed our reporter that the foundation is also making arrangements to send relief materials on June 12, Nigeria’s democracy day to the families of the victims of last week’s church attack in Owo, Ondo state by bandits suspected to be members of ISWAP.

Speaking remotely via zoom from his base in the US, Justin said that arrangements are already in place via partner organizations on ground to distribute these materials to IDP camps in Lugbe and Area one, both in Abuja to help mitigate their economic hardship, and the harsh conditions they face in the rehabilitation settlements & IDP camps.

“It is unfortunate that in this time and age a lot of people are still homeless, without food or basic amenities due to either war, terrorist attacks and/or insurgency by Islamic militant groups”

“Despite the efforts of individuals, non governmental organizations and governments, the families and children of these refugees are living in dire circumstances due to these extra judicial killings and violent acts”, Kaufy further added.

John Kaufmann implored the privileged in the society not to neglect or ignore the vulnerable, especially children and women who are often the most affected in these camps.

Justin reiterated that in association with IRONMAN FOUNDATION, he is committed to helping the youth, children and women in race communities who are in dire need in Africa or any part of the world.

Justin Kaufmann in conjunction with the Ironman Foundation provides positive donations in race communities through grants and volunteerism. The foundation is active in 75 national and international race communities around the world, and in 2021, distributed more than $2.1 million dollars to 1,500 organizations directly or through their partners worldwide.
