Julius Berger Nigeria Plc has declared its readiness to act as a strategic entry partner for European firms seeking to execute projects and investments in Nigeria and across emerging markets.
The company made this known at the Eurocham Annual Conference and Expo 2026, held on Thursday in Lagos. Speaking at the event, Filipe Lopes of Julius Berger’s Strategic Business Development Department, who represented the Director of Corporate Development, Jochen Stolle, said the firm offers far more than conventional construction services.
According to Lopes, Julius Berger operates an integrated delivery platform that provides end-to-end Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) as well as design management services, enabling international partners to enter the Nigerian market with reduced risk and faster execution timelines.
“Beyond construction, Julius Berger has the systems and experience to support full EPC delivery, including local content compliance, workforce integration, permitting, regulatory interfaces and stakeholder management,” he said.
Lopes added that the company also supports bankability and financing processes, while deploying proven delivery systems aligned with international Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and quality standards, both for onshore and offshore projects.
He further explained that Julius Berger adopts several collaboration models tailored to project size, funding structure and technical requirements.
“On our collaboration models, Julius Berger embarks on technology partnerships by integrating European systems, equipment and digital solutions into projects where we are the lead,” Lopes said.
He disclosed that the company also participates in consortium bids, particularly for large sovereign and private-sector projects, often in collaboration with Development Finance Institutions (DFIs).
“For project finance and concession vehicles, there is always room for co-development, construction and lifecycle delivery,” he added.
Other collaboration pathways, according to Lopes, include acting as a local execution partner for European EPC firms and supporting proof-of-concept deployments for pilot projects, helping international companies test solutions within the Nigerian environment.
Highlighting Julius Berger’s track record, Lopes listed several landmark projects successfully delivered by the company.
“We have delivered the FAMFA Office Tower in Lagos, the Midstream Jetty in Lagos, the Second Niger Bridge, the Azura Power Plant in Edo State, and the Escravos Gas-to-Liquids Plant in Rivers State,” he said.
He added that work on the Bodo–Bonny Road is nearing a milestone that will soon be unveiled.
Lopes concluded that with its Tier-1 integrated capabilities, Julius Berger has consistently delivered complex projects for the Federal Government, state governments, multinationals and private-sector clients across Nigeria.
