Veteran Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has said he intentionally changed his public image from the “bad boy” persona he was known for to that of a more responsible gentleman.
In a recent interview with media personality Joey Akan, Iyke explained that he was influenced by external factors to embrace the “bad boy” identity during a period of his career.
According to him, he decided to rebrand himself after realising that the image was no longer beneficial or relevant to his personal and professional growth.
The actor also argued that many of his colleagues remain stagnant because they fail to recognise when it is time to step away from the spotlight or adapt to new realities in their careers.
The movie star emphasised that it is important for entertainers to know when to rebrand to maintain relevance.
