Jesuit community unveils meditation App

The Ignatian Meditation App, which started as an idea in 202, has finally seen the light of day.

Speaking about the App launched on August 13, by the Jesuit Community in Lagos, and available in multiple languages, the founder, Father Kevin-Maria Odey, said he hopes the app tagged: ‘A Moment with God’ will be available to everyone around the world.

“It’s a weekly content App, where people can play meditation videos and contents to help them meditate and have deep thinking,” he noted.

The app is available on Playstore and Appstore.

Archbishop of Lagos, Most Rev. Alfred Adewale Martins, talked about the importance of meditation and how significant it is to have such a platform to help people function at a higher level of calmness and insight to life itself.

“The Ignatian Meditation App is a rich multimedia platform, which is a milestone for tech development in Nigeria as it has HD video contents that are relatively well produced. However, there are rooms for improvements as the contents in the app need to be a daily uploaded content rather than the weekly structure it currently runs on. But ultimately, the app itself is a true piece of modern art.”

Present at the launch were Father Philip Sosu-Mobee, who represented Archbishop Martins; Nana Eshun, member, Catholic International Community; Father Muduabuchi Leo Muoneme; and SJ, president, Jesuit Memorial College, Port Harcourt.
