In line with its commitment to curb admission infractions and boost the capacity of tertiary institutions in the country to conduct credible admissions, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) recently organised an in-house interactive session for heads of institutions and their admission officers, in Ekiti State.
Declaring the forum open, the state coordinator, Mr. Hassan Lawal, disclosed that the meeting was the second of its kind and would serve as an eye-opener for all the admission officers of the participating institutions.
Lawal, who extolled the virtues of interface among stakeholders, stated that it would, among others, serve to acquaint the various institutions with up-to-date information on innovations and other vital information.
He, therefore, stressed the need for regular interactions and enlisted the support of all stakeholders in order to achieve the board’s objectives.
In his response, the rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, host of the in-house interactive session, Dr. John Alake, commended the state office for domesticating the board’s initiative, which, he said, would ultimately help institutions in the state to curb admission infractions.
