In a remarkable show of appreciation, the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has commended Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State for his unwavering commitment to executing transformative legacy projects that significantly impact the lives of the state’s citizens.

Alh Yabagi Sani, who serves as both the National Chairman of IPAC and the Presidential candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), extended this commendation while personally inspecting the projects undertaken by Governor Sule.

He emphasised that IPAC has initiated a nationwide effort to inspect projects executed by governors, with the goal of ensuring transparency and accountability in governance.

The inspection tour, which has already covered states like Kano and Imo, arrived in Nasarawa State on Monday where the IPAC team embarked on on-the-spot assessments of various projects. The aim was to ascertain that elected leaders indeed fulfil their campaign promises and deliver tangible benefits to the people.

While acknowledging the time constraints that prevented a comprehensive examination of all projects, Sani listed several key initiatives that were inspected. These projects included the Sani Abacha Bus Terminal in Karu, the Luvu Road in Mararaba, the permanent site of the College of Health, Science Technology in Keffi, dual-carriage roads connecting important locations, and a host of infrastructure developments that spanned different local government areas.

Sun gathered that In Akwanga LGA, the IPAC team visited various projects, such as Moroa Road, the newly established Faculty of Engineering at Nasarawa State University Keffi (NSUK), a remodeled VIP Lodge and Events Centre, and neighbourhood markets.

The team also toured Lafia, where they inspected a range of initiatives, including the dual-carriage Shendam Road, the Bus Terminal at Bukansidi, and ongoing construction projects like the State Secretariat complex and Lafia Cargo Airport.

Sani emphasized the positive impact of these projects on the lives of the people. For example, the Mega Bus Terminal in Mararaba-Karu axis has significantly reduced traffic congestion, a long-standing issue in the area, as Karu serves as a gateway to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.

These projects, according to Sani, contribute to a wide spectrum of positive changes, including improvements in education, employment opportunities, enhanced security, poverty reduction, and economic growth within the state.

Sani also highlighted that this inspection mission aligns with IPAC’s mandate to promote and strengthen democracy, and the council was genuinely impressed with Governor Sule’s performance so far.

He noted that the governor has created jobs, implemented civil servant promotions, and ensured prompt payment of salaries, which are essential steps towards improving the quality of life for the state’s residents.

“We are also aware that he has employed workers, implemented promotions of civil servants and paying salaries promptly,”

Sun reports that the IPAC team was warmly received in Karu and Keffi LGAs by local council Chairmen James Thomas and Mohammed Baba-Shehu, underscoring the collaborative efforts between the state government and local leadership to drive development and progress in Nasarawa State.
