In a bold and impactful move to commemorate its one-year milestone, Inspire Lagos Food Market is launching a transformative four-day program titled “Inspire Week,” dedicated to deepening its mission to combat hunger and promote food security across Lagos State.
Scheduled from August 19th–22nd, 2025, the event will span multiple local government areas and engage thousands of residents in meaningful activities.
Centered on the theme “Celebrating Real Impact, Fostering More…,” Inspire Week will feature a series of high-impact initiatives designed to empower communities, boost volunteerism, and reaffirm Inspire Lagos’s commitment to making food more accessible and affordable for low-income families and vulnerable groups.
Program Highlights includes:”Zero Hunger Bootcamp
A strategic gathering of Inspire Volunteers and food security experts, featuring masterclass sessions on global best practices and local interventions. Themed “Global Standards & Local Action for Ending Hunger and Food Insecurity through Volunteering,” the bootcamp aims to equip changemakers with tools to lead sustainable impact-driven volunteer initiatives.
‘Inspire on the Street, a grassroots outreach program bringing food advocacy directly into underserved neighborhoods through open dialogues, community engagement, and hands-on relief distribution, fostering trust and collaborative action.
Inspire Food Market: Special Edition ,
a curated version of the Inspire Food Market intervention, offering food items at 50% discounted rates, complemented by vendor exhibitions and active public engagement to promote affordable food access.

Since its inception in 2024, Inspire Lagos Food Market has reached over 25,000 families through mobile and community-based food markets. Upholding the principle of “leaving no one behind,” the initiative champions SDG 2: Zero Hunger by leveraging public-private partnerships and volunteer networks to deliver sustainable food relief.
