Ingryd Academy has graduated the first beneficiaries of her scholarship programme with a job fair showcasing leading tech companies actively seeking to recruit talented individuals for various tech roles.

The event, which took place in Lagos, had in attendance Tunbosun Alake, Lagos State Commissioner for Science, Innovation, and Technology, and a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Eti-Osa Constituency 2, Hon. Gbolahan Yishahu.

Ingryd, a tech talent outsourcing and training academy, not only recognize the achievements of these graduates but also serve as a platform for them to connect with potential employers.

During the event, a panel discussion moderated by Amabelle Diana Nwakanma, Director of Programmes at LEAP Africa, was held among experienced professionals from Microsoft, Google, banks, and other IT disciplines on the topic Future Frontiers: Navigating Tech Trends and Career Opportunities. The session explored the opportunities for technology skills and how they can be deployed to solve problems. The discussion placed emphasis on research and collaboration as the panacea for the graduating students to achieve success.

The panelists tasked the beneficiaries to always aim towards skilling and upskilling themselves with the latest trends so as to go far in their careers.

Mr. Alake encouraged the graduating student to take the opportunity as a life-transforming one. He admonished them to use the skills to be the change they desired in their lives and in the society.

The commissioner commended the organizer for the initiative. He acknowledged that her gesture to train Nigerian youths in the field of technology freely is worth celebrating. He therefore charged the beneficiaries not to take it for granted.

Yishahu tasked the beneficiaries to be ready to sacrifice themselves to excel now that they have been trained.

Khadijat Abdulkadir, chief executive officer of the academy, expressed gratitude to all her partners, science and technology commissioner, the lawmaker, the panelists, and others for making the event a reality.
