“Imo State is truly on the rise, thanks to the visionary leadership of Governor Hope Uzodimma. The state, once plagued by stagnation, decrepit civil service and decayed infrastructure, is now a beacon of socioeconomic reawakening, attracting global attention.
“This is true to the effect that Imo State has been aglow for many good reasons following the hugely successful Economic and Investment Summit held in Owerri, the capital of the state, and attended by global leaders, investors and stakeholders.”
The above submission was made by Mr. Stanford Arinze Nwokedi, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Enlightenment. According to him, the governor has excelled in various areas, even beyond the expectations of many and the people are having fun at Yuletide.
Nwokedi said: “The New-Imo-On-The-Rise has been marketed so well that investors are now aware of Imo State’s rising potentials in commerce, innovation, industry, tourism and sundry endeavours. The good News is that these investors are now investing in Imo State.
“With a focus on human capacity development, infrastructural development, 24/7 power supply, and the Orashi River dredging project, Governor Uzodimma is leaving an indelible mark on Imo State. Imo State is endowed so much that the visionary leadership of Mr Governor has brought about a chain of values hitherto unheard of in Imo State.
“On human capacity development, the governor’s initiatives have empowered Imo people, especially the youths, equipping them with digital skills to thrive in a rapidly changing world. The health insurance scheme which is taking comprehensive care of health challenges of Imo people is another testament of humane governance pervading Imo landscape today. The positive impacts are so real that Imo people and residents are enjoying every bit of the goodies.
“On infrastructural development, Imo State now boasts of improved roads, hospitals, schools, and other public spaces. These have transformed the state’s landscape, making it more attractive to investors and residents alike. The governor has even deservedly earned a widely acknowledged alias as ‘the infrastructure governor’ amongst many other meritorious awards and honours.
“On the 24/7 power supply, it is a common knowledge that reliable power supply boosts economic activities, enabling industrial endeavours. This makes businesses to flourish and ensures that the people live comfortably. The audacity of the 24/7 power supply in Imo appears to be the icing on the Imo cake, coming from the rare vision and tenacity of Gov Hope Uzodimma.
“The Orashi Electricity Company is poised to solve the energy problems of Imo State, oiling the wheel of entrepreneurship and industrial revolution in the State.
“The ongoing Orashi River dredging project shall not only enhance agricultural productivity in Imo State but also creates new opportunities for water transportation, security and tourism.
