Popular Nigerian comedian, Otaghware Onodjayeke also known as IGoSave, has teamed up with fellow comedian cum producer Bright Okpocha better known as Basket Mouth to host an open mic competition that will see the winner perform at this weekend’s IGoSave Unusual Let me do the talking and Basketmouth UK tour holding in February 2025 in London.
IGoSave said the major criteria to enter into the open mic competition is that the contestant must be an indigene of Delta state where he hails from.
In a post on his social media handles, the comedian cum actor said so many performers have reached out to him to give him a spot at his “IGoSave Unusual: Let me do the Talking” holding on November 10 in Warri hence the essence for the challenge.
He therefore asked those interested to be on the big stage this November in Warri and February in London to send a three-minute video of a stand-up comedy performance with the hashtag #igosaveunusualwarri and tag his handle @igosave. IGoSave also stressed that the video must be witty, funny and that the material must be original.
According to him, the first three winners will have the rare opportunity of performing at this weekend’s edition of IGoSave Unusual in Warri while the overall winner will join the train of those performing at BasketMouth’s Show holding in London in February 2025.
He equally maintained that the “IGoSave Unusual: Let me do the Talking” holding this weekend in Warri will parade some of the biggest stars in the entertainment industry which will in turn give Deltans value for their money.
IGoSave therefore urged show goers to quickly get their tickets to avoid the rush of getting it at the last minute.
