The Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf has dismissed the speculation making the rounds that he had a fight with his Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Abdullahi Bappa Bichi
The Governor who spoke at the swearing in ceremony of Permanent Secretaries and Special Advisers at the Government House, Tuesday, declared that there was no incident like that between himself and the Secretary to the Government of the Srate.
He insisted that the Secretary to the State Government was unwell and flown abroad for proper medical attention while adding,that his decision to appoint an acting Secretary was because of the sensitive nature of the office in question.
“Because, we appointed the State Head of Service as acting SSG, does not mean we sacked Bichi, we cannot allow the position to be vacant because of its sensitive nature”.he explained.
He added that: “I personally overheard some persons speaking with full authority on the local radio programs that we exchanged deadly blow’s between myself and the SSG”.
He revealed that “You know some people’s who are jobless and see politics as their sources of living will always try to create rumours to create unnecessary tension, but this time they have failed woefully”.
The Governor assured that, the “SSG is recuperating, and as soon as he returns he will take charge his position and continue where he stopped.”
He is still in charge he declared.
