The Eze Ndigbo Ghana and Assistant Publicity Secretary Association of Ndieze Ndigbo in the Diaspora HRM Eze Dr Chukwudi Ihenetu has congratulated a Nigerian trained and Professional Humanitarian of note, Iyom Amb. Chinelo C. Nwokolo , describing her as an Amazon.
Iyom Amb. Nwokolo was recently in Abuja, conferred with a Honorary Doctoral Fellowship in Humanitarian -Community Service by the prestigious Institute For Humanitarian Studies and Social Development; an organisation recognized by the Federal Government of Nigeria, partnering with United Nations Institute for Training and Research. The Institute whose vision envisages a society where the culture and practice of Humanitarianism is the order of the day;and where individuals and institutions alike have the right knowledge cum capacity to respond to emerging Humanitarian challenges. Also driven by the consciousness of adding values, Reward, while attaining global best practices of Quintessence and professionalism to the activities of non-governmental organisations managers.
According to organisers of the award, the Institute set to honour private individuals, social groups and companies that have distinguished themselves in selfless community services and related humanitarian outreaches during her 12th Graduation /Fellowship Induction Ceremony recently done at the Nigeria National Merit Award in commemoration of the International Day for Disaster Reduction 2022. Among the few honoured; was Iyom Amb Chinelo Nwokolo in recognition of her outstanding contribution to Humanity, particularly in promoting the principles and culture of Humanitarianism.
The Award further stated: “It is in appreciation of her outstanding contributions in promoting Humanitarian value systems in Nigeria and other parts of the world, in National Development and for all she does for the less privileged via her Golden Charity International Initiative and the Women group; Okpotokpo Adaigbo Niile Worldwide that she is being honoured.”
The President of the Council commended Iyom Chinelo Nwokolo for her Resilience, selflessness and humane spirit and urged her to keep the flag flagging. The Doctoral Fellowship Award Recipient thanked Nigeria, the Institute and her Team players for making the Award possible while reiterating her commitment to Humanitarianism and Volunteerism.
In a statement, the Umuduruoha Amaigbo Nwagele Imo-State born Royal Father, HRM Ihenetu described Iyom Amb. Chinelo Nwokolo as a goal getter who has contributed a lot in service to humanity.
