As Nigeria’s beverage industry matures, a new wave of health-conscious consumers is reshaping the market landscape.

The shift toward natural, functional beverages drinks that refresh and also promote wellness has opened new frontiers for local innovators. Leading this charge is Organic Garden Ltd, a proudly Nigerian brand redefining the country’s tea culture with its premium, nature-inspired blends and deep commitment to local sourcing.

Founded in January 2020, at the height of a global awakening to natural remedies during the COVID-19 pandemic, Organic Garden was born from Abimbola Ige’s conviction that wellness should begin with what we consume.

“Organic Garden was inspired by the power of nature,” Ige, the company’s Managing Director, explained. “As a lifelong tea lover, I began each day exploring the health benefits hidden in natural foods. I realised every natural ingredient in our kitchen carries its own wellness potential and that discovery sparked a passion to share these wonders with others.”

Today, the brand’s philosophy of quality without compromise is evident in every blend. Organic Garden uses only the finest leaves and natural ingredients, with no artificial preservatives. Even its biodegradable tea bags reinforce the company’s sustainability ethos.
“Every cup is a celebration of nature’s gifts crafted to support daily wellness while respecting both body and planet,” Ige added.

At the heart of the brand’s success lies its local sourcing model. By working directly with farmers across Nigeria, Organic Garden ensures quality consistency, fair trade, and empowerment within agricultural communities. Only select spices like Star Anise and Cardamom are imported and even then, under strict ethical sourcing standards.

The company’s product line spans eight distinct blends from the vibrant Tangy Berry Hibiscus to the calming Soothing Snooze each designed to meet unique wellness needs and flavor preferences. As Ige looks ahead, she is positioning the brand for international expansion, with pilot tests underway in select regions.
“We’re exploring opportunities to take our Nigerian-made teas global,” she said. “The world deserves to experience Africa’s authentic, natural wellness in a cup.”
