Popular Nigerian video vixen, brand influencer and actress, Odemokpa Sarah, professionally known as Valerie, has revealed some of the challenges she encountered in her early days as a video vixen.

From a young age, Valerie, also known as Valerienia dreamed of becoming a global entertainment figure. Her passion was fuelled by exposure to contents that increased the size of her ambition. Born on the 9th of May, she grew in a family of eight in which her sisters became her biggest fans cheering her on.

Valerie rose quickly as a model in the entertainment industry. Made from heaven for her craft, she is blessed with beauty and physique. The qualities earned her features in Davido, Burna Boy, Adekunle Gold, Wizkid, Zlatan’s music videos. She recalled how her fellow video vixens mocked her, as well as how she overcame the ‘bullying’.

“I got body shamed a lot by video vixens cos juggling both modeling and vixen,I have to keep a certain kind of body while most vixens could be in different shapes and sizes they found themselves or they desired. All I did was grew thick skin and love my self more which gave me so much confidence and self love”, Valerie recalled.

Valerie is undoubtedly at the top of the ladder in social media brand influencing, lifestyle and modelling. She would be the future and face of the Nollywood when she hatches her plan to pursue acting  full time. She revealed the ups and down that have accompanied her career, opportunities and benefits that have accrued.

“I started working with top artists. Multitasking also started as I got myself involved in modeling, music video and being a digital creator
With time brands started reaching out to me and doing everything at once totally became a flex. It’s a blend of all I won’t ’lie, financially it’s rewarding and it definitely puts me on the spotlight. But since it started as something I loved to do and it started to become rewarding, I loved it more,” Odemokpa Sarah said.

“It’s been a mixture of emotions and experience . Emotionally, there are days of ups and downs and on the challenges and the experiences, sometimes things go as planned other times there are some setbacks that really make me sad.

“Financially, it’s been rewarding but I needed to double my efforts to make sure my worth is known. Yeah I tapped into acting. My first experience was so interesting and I know definitely I will still do more in that field”.
