Ex 11: 9 says, “And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt”
Beloved, as the year 2023 closes its doors and windows in all spaces today. We should be reminded that the final chapter of everyone’s deed whether good or bad in the year will be written and the Book sealed waiting to be revealed to them respectively on the day of judgement. After today 2023 will become a historical year. Its departure will pave way for the birth of a New Year which again drives us to the ongoing that goes on till we get to the end of time.
Earlier in the year after seeing the increase in the rate of wickedness of man and the impending doom approaching as a result, I cried out to the people of the world not to continue hardening their heart toward God. This is because all these evil and atrocities being witnessed by our generation are direct expressions of God’s dissatisfaction over the wickedness of man. And if caution is not taken by man to amend his ways, the wonders of God may be multiplied.
Last year when others were predicting peace and prosperity, I sounded a serious warning to the people that if they continually hardened their heart and refused to renounce their evil ways and return to God, the year would be characterised by social and economic crises and there would be more tension in the society and rumours of wars. And true to my word that has been the situation in the world hitherto.
The warning is still valid till date that if the people of the world fail to put a stop to the loathing and abomination pervading the world, God will destroy humanity again. God is using all these sufferings to draw people to Himself.
It was so in the days of Pharaoh when God allowed the obstinacy of Pharaoh and his people, so that He would multiply His wonders in the land in order to make Egyptians know that He only is Jehovah.
The Book of Exodus 11 :6-7 and 9 says, “And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more. 7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel. 9 And the LORD said unto Moses, Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you; that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt”
When Pharaoh and his Egyptians task masters were perpetrating all sorts of wickedness against the Children of God in Egypt, Moses the servant of God was sent to warn Pharaoh but he hardened his heart and instead increased his wickedness causing God to multiply His wonders in Egypt. We should understand that the plagues and death of all the first-born in Egypt was forewarned by Moses but was ignored, and thus God allowed His wonders in form of plagues to fall on them.
The plagues were foretold; the times were fixed and when angels slew the Egyptians, not even a dog bark at any of the children of Israel. So it will be next year 2024, if our people will continue in their wickedness, God will continue to multiply His wonders among them but those that will run to Him for safety shall be saved. At that time men will know what a difference God puts, and will put to eternity, between those that serve him and those that serve him not.
The plagues against the Egyptians are reference point to the children of men in all ages not to provoke the Lord to jealousy or to strive with their Maker.
The wonders wrought against the Egyptians were marks of posterity, that Jehovah, the God of the Chosen, was the sole Maker and Creator of the heavens and the earth. It was not to crush the poor that He wrought such mighty wonders, but to convince His enemies, that no power can prevail against Him; and to show His followers that whosoever kept to His righteousness shall be saved.
The Lord does all things for his own sake but does not make a man wicked, but when a man has made himself such, even then God bears with him. But if he repents not, when the measure of his iniquity is filled up, he shall fall under the wrath of God.
The Scripture says in Matt. 6: 33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you”
For us to have peace in the world, we must seek first the Kingdom and righteousness of God, so that the blessings and peace of God will become ours. We must understand that God’s kingdom cannot be sought without God’s righteousness and holiness which is the only way to have peace and joy. If the people of the world will make righteousness a priority in life, I am assuring you the coming year will be good for us.
I know the people of the world will be expecting in the coming year peace and economics stability but by the grace of God, my language may not be the language of the world. What I am saying may not be what the people will like. The truth is that the year 2024 will still be a hazardous year if the children of the world refuse to amend their ways. If iniquity and wickedness abound, there will still be economic problems, and the world will continue to experience crises. God allows those things so that the world will come back to their Creator and be saved. But I want to let you know that in the midst of these calamities and sorrows the chosen people and real children of God will be kept just like what happened in Egypt.
If there is no repentance, all these things people are crying about will be a child’s play. As those things are happening, it will stir the world to see the hand writing of God on the wall and return to their Creator. However, for the Chosen people and genuine believers the year 2024 will be a year of dominion, harvest, honour and victory. There will be harvest of souls for the Chosen. The Chosen ones shall not only be honoured in their respective places and endeavours but shall have victory over their enemies.
Heb. 3: 7-8 says, “Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, 8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness”
Let us not harden our hearts toward God so that it shall be well with us in the year 2024.
