A group advocating for Igbo presidency in Nigeria, Igbo President Project (IPP), has released a statement highlighting the contributions of the Igbo people to the country’s development, insisting that it’s time for an Igbo to hold the office of the President.
In a statement signed by the National Coordinator, Chinedu Nsofor, the group cited various Igbo individuals who have made significant contributions to Nigeria’s growth in areas such as commerce, sports, and politics.
The group regretted that despite the contributions, the Igbo have remained marginalised and excluded from key positions of power, stressing that it’s time for the imbalance to be addressed.
Nsofor also emphasised immediate action and the need for fairness and equity in Nigerian politics.
