The people of Jigawa State have been thrown into a state of grief as a result of the death of the son of the Governor of the state, Abdulmahab Umar Namadi
A statement signed by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Hamisu Mohammed Gumel , on Thursday said that the late Abdulwahab died at the age of 24.
According to the statement, the deceased was killed in a ghastly motor accident that occurred along Dutse – Kafin Hausa Road on 26th December, 2024.
The statement added that Islamic funeral rites for the departed boy were ongoing in Kafin – Hausa town as at the time of the press release.
It could be recalled that the Governor had earlier lost his mother, Maryam Namadi Umar in the early hours of Wednesday, December 25th, 2024.
She was buried on Wednesday in her hometown of Kafin Hausa, in accordance with Islamic traditions. The burial was attended by dignitaries and loved ones including the governor of Kano State, Abba Kabiru Yusuf. End
