The Gombe State Chapter of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari and the party’s leadership to beam its search light for next Senate President on the state.
Publicity Secretary of the APC in Gombe, Mrs Naomi Joel Awak, who made the call, added that the state had done well by delivering over 95 percent of votes in the state to APC.
“It was by the grace of God, coupled with the help of Senator Danjuma Goje, who was awake all through, that the party came out victorious in the 2019 general elections in the state,” she said.
He also declared that the efforts of Goje towards ensuring victory for the APC must not be overlooked, hence, ‘’he should be commended and rewarded with the seat of senate president.”
“In the interest of fair play, we want them to make Goje the next senate president, because Gombe was left behind during the first tenure of Baba Buhari,” Naomi added.
