On Saturday, February 11, Entertainment Entrepreneur, Uchenna Simon, better known as Prince UC Ingawa, hosted family, friends, business associates to the 10th edition of his annual event, The Patriot Award. This event took place at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Aside from the award ceremony, the host also seizes the opportunity to premier a movie titled, THE PLEDGE.
He described the movie as a national development project that talks against, tribalism, religious bigotry, nepotism and speak more of oneness and a way forward for our nation’s political and economic sustainability.
The movie features Nollywood veteran Pete Edochie, Chiwetalu Agu, Francis Duru, Diamond Okechi, Chinenye Ulaegbu, Iheanacho Sammy amongst others.
Speaking about the movie, the organizer of the event, Uchenna Simon, disclosed that: “The movie is having a tour, we recognise people in their state of residence, we’ve looked at the state of insecurity, must people find it difficult to travel outside their comfort zone, so we looked at it and see reasons with them.”
On the forthcoming elections, Uchenna Simon disclosed that elections will come and go but our nation must remain, that’s the only thing that joins all of us together and we won’t let that down for someone else’s ambition.
