Dare devil armed robbers on Thursday evening invaded two banks in Anyigba,kogi state killing two policemen and carted away millions of naira
It was learnt that the robbers first invaded a nearby police station and carted away some arms and ammunition before they headed to the bank
According to an eye witness account, the robbers stormed First and Access banks in a simulation robbery attacks at about 6pm on Thursday when all the day’s transactions has been concluded
The heavily armed robbers were said to have shot sporadically and operated for hours before the military were drafted into the scene
As at the time of filling this report, numbers of casualties were yet to be ascertained as there are conflicting figures of those killed
All effort to get confirmation from the Kogi State Police Command Public Relations Officer SP William Aya proved abortive as he was not picking calls put to his phone.
