Foundation holds Green worship concert October 2

The Worship for Change Foundation, a not for profit organisation committed to raising awareness and funding for orphans and children with special needs is set to holds its Green worship concert.

The Green worship concert, an initiative of worship for change which will hold on October 2 from 4pm to 7pm at the Fountain of Life Church, Illupeju, Lagos, will feature music artistes such as AnEndlessOcean, Bob Fitts, Cobhams Asuquo, David Njennor, E Daniels, Gbenga Adenuga, Greatman Takit, King James, Moses Bliss, Nathaniel Bassey, Tope Alabi, TY Bello, Waje and Wale Adenuga.

Speaking on the event, Founder, Worship for Change, Wale Adenuga, said the concert, which is an annual event, is basically meant to create awareness and raise funds for charity organisations that care for orphans and children with special needs, adding that the event has four charity organisations as beneficiaries.

“I hope we all join hands to be a blessing to these charity organisations.14 artistes will be performing on Monday. The great music will touch the hearts of people and cause them to be compassionate to the people who need them most.”

Adenuga disclosed the proceeds of last year which was N15 million, went to five charity organisations that received N3million each.

The charity organisations that benefitted from the donations were PureSouls Learning Foundation, RECDOT Foundation, Ozubulu, Leprosy Mission Nigeria, AIM Special Children Centre, Kaduna and Let Cerebral Palsy Kids Learn Foundation.

Beneficiaries of other donations are Joy in Africa Foundation, Asaba; To Omo Re School, Ilorin; Sechilde Centre, Abuja; among others.

He noted that donations also come from cooperate organisations and individuals.

He urged Nigerians to be mindful of each other and lend a helping hand to the needy, “be a blessing to someone and make an indelible impact.

Wale disclosed how 250 kids benefitted from the donations given to Lepers colony, Iberekodo, Ogun State.

Responding to the gesture, Tobiloba Ajayi, Lagos founder: Let Cerebral Palsy Kids Learn Foundation, commended Green worship and explained that the funds received were used to run programmes and to settle fees for 18 children.

“Ten mothers and 10 children benefitted and 70 families were impacted.”

Founder of PureSouls Learning Foundation commended Worship for Change and explained that the funds received were used to put up a state-of-the-art kitchen for the children under their care who live with autism to learn basic culinary skills.

Other foundations testified to the impact the donations given to them made and were grateful to the worship4change for the good work.

“These are the kind of impact we made through the Green worship concert and worship4change foundation,” Adenuga said.
