Chief Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, the Iyaloja-General of Nigeria and daughter of President Bola Tinubu, has received multiple honours for her work in organizing market women and community development. Key recognitions include her installation as the Aare Aje of Ikale Land in 2022, the 2023 Peace Achievers International Award, and her 2024 appointment as an ambassador for Almajiri and out-of-school children’s education. She is also a recipient of the traditional title of Fajekoloju of Owo Kingdom.
She recently bagged the highest award of Ecowas Youth Organization. She was decorated with the prestigious honour of Mummy General of Ecowas Youth For Tinubu by the President-General of Ecowas Youth Organization, Crown Prince Celestine Ukorobo Ekwe.
Presenting the diadem, Prince Ekwe said: “This is like a staff of office to you; we know you are a strong woman. An adage says a lion does not give birth to a lower creature. You are a tigress. We are very confident that you will handle this task, that at the end of the day, His Excellency will see that we are working.”

Receiving the award, she praised the youth for being self-reliant, committed and focused. “I want to assure you that by the grace of God, you will never regret,” she told the West African Sub- Regional Organization.

Throwing light on the organization, Prince Ekwe said its motto is: “Peace mission and mutual co-existence in the ECOWAS sub-region.”
He added that the aims and objectives of Eco-Youth is “to promote mutual understanding and corporation among youths in the ECOWAS Sub-region; to complement the efforts of the founding fathers of the ECOWAS in the sub-regional integration;
“Affording the ECOWAS youths the opportunity to come together with the views of identifying their common problems in order to find solutions to them; to consolidate social interaction in the form of sports, visits and cultural corporation as already in existence; to encourage the growth of industrial and agricultural output of the Sub-Region through exchange of programmes and skills; to enhance the social-economic and the political growth of the sub-region through morally directed workshops, talk shops, seminar and symposia.
Others are “to play advisory role to the ECOWAS Heads of Government and Secretariat in matters that may concern the well-being and future of youths in the Sub-Region; to consolidate the gains of the regional integration already pursued by the ECOWAS leaders; to give supporting services to the objective and aims of the ECOWAS Sub-region as may be required by the Secretariat; to campaign and condemn cultism among the youths in the ECOWAS Sub-Region and the world at large;
“To abolish all forms of child abuse and neglect through campaigns and programmes; to enlighten youths on the dangers of drug abuse and trafficking; to create employment opportunities through the assistance of the ECOWAS Heads of Government in the sub-region; to direct the minds of the youths towards dedication and hardwork;
“To promote our rich cultural heritage to the rest of the world; to protect the ECOWAS Sub-Region against unwarranted attack and unnecessary interference by the self-seeking enemies of progress and breaking of communication barrier in the ECOWAS Sub-region e.g. Language.”
