Afro hip hop act, Chinedu Okoli popularly known as Flavour, has composed a sound track for Professor John Bull, a satirical television series sponsored by next generation network, Globacom.
The sound track extols the essence of the TV series, which seeks to correct societal follies and foibles as mirrored through the activities of the central character, Prof. John Bull, acted by Kanayo O. Kanayo, who revels in using bombastic language to express his point of view.
The sound track captures the plot and storyline of the television series as it gleefully hails the erudite scholar, Professor Johnbull, who has travelled round the world acquiring knowledge and enriching his diction and lexicon.
The rhythm and beat of the sound track, produced in Igbo with an admixture of English, are typical of Flavour’s urban highlife music genre and style and is full of eulogies for the professor.
The television series features A-list stars such as Kanayo O. Kanayo, Patience Ozokwor (Mama G), Bimbo Akintola, Mercy Johnson, Yomi Fash Lanso, Ime Bishop, Queen Nwokoye, Chiwetalu Agu and others. It is produced by Tchidi Chikere with Richard Mofe-Damijo as consultant.
