She mourned the loss;

“His untimely demise is not only a loss to his family and Umuoji community but to the entire state of Anambra. It is not the culture of Igbos to kill their kinsmen.

“In the face of this appalling tragedy, I urge all citizens to remain vigilant and proactive in ensuring the safety and security of our neighbourhoods.

“We must stand united against the forces of darkness that seek to disrupt our peace and harmony. It is incumbent upon each and every one of us to mind the company we keep, businesses we transact and report any suspicious activities or movements to the relevant authorities promptly.

“Security is everybody’s business. The government cannot do it alone. It is difficult for the government to provide security for all citizens without sharing relevant information.

“The security and well-being of every citizen is paramount, and we must work together with the law enforcement agencies to identify and apprehend the perpetrators of this heinous crime. Justice must prevail for Silas Onyima and his grieving family, and those responsible must be brought to account for their actions.

“I therefore extend my heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of Silas Onyima, Umuoji community and the good people of Anambra State.
