Firms declare support for foundation’s charity golf tournament

As the 13th edition of the Daniel Ogechi Akujobi Memorial Foundation (DOAM) Charity Golf Tournament draws close, more notable corporate bodies and selfless Nigerians have confirmed their support for the event.

The event prominent for generating support to uplift indigent children in the society is scheduled to hold on February 24, 2024, at the Ikoyi Club 1938, Lagos.

According to the organisers, firms who have drawn support for the event include ARM pension, Sparkle, Cappa & D’Alberto, Radial Circle Group, Access Bank Guiness, Chikki Foods Industries, Vacation Places, 7-Up Bottling Company, Globus Bank, SPAR Mixta Nigeria, Ikoyi Club 1938 among others.

The Foundation’s Media Lead, Ruth Nwachukwu, stated that, “The different levels of support offered by corporate sponsors and kind individuals will enable the Foundation provide education and healthcare to less privileged children and youth in our society.

“Since its inception, the Foundation has touched over 93,000 lives through the various life-improvement programs that it has executed for the less privileged. This has been made possible by funds raised from the annual golf event.”

No fewer than 150 players have secured spots in the final round following the qualifying event on February 3, 2024. They will be joined by guest players.

The final of the tournament will be rounded off with a cocktail event in the evening, which will also feature prize presentations to winners and another opportunity to interact with its partners and donors.
