The meeting between Governor Ayodele Fayose and the labour unions in Ekiti State with a view to resolving the crisis between them yesterday ended in a deadlock.

It was gathered that the governor appealed to the workers to shelve the strike in the interest of the state and for internally generated revenue.

The state chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Mr. Raymond Adesanmi said that the strike would continue because the meeting failed to resolve the crisis between the parties.

Said he: “The governor listened to us and promised to get back to us. We are also going to have our own meeting on Wednesday (today) to review the situation but the strike continues. It is either three months salary or no talk.”
