The Eze Ndigbo Ghana, HRM Dr. Jude Ihenetu has joined other world leaders to salute Christians as they celebrates Easter.
Easter is one of the principal holidays, feasts of Christianity. It marks the resurrection of Jesus three days after his death by crucification. For many Christians, Easter is the joyful end to the Lenten season of fasting.
In a statement issued from his Obiukwu Obieziokwu palace, HRM Dr Ihenetu urges Christians to emulate Jesus Christ who as epitome of love, live a tolerant life even till death.
In his message to Ndigbo in Ghana, the Umuduruoha Amigbo Nwagele Imo-State born Royal Father said: “As you celebrate the Easter festival, I urge you to use this opportunity to draw closer to God by showing love to your neighbors. By so doing you will be imitating Christ in his show of love.”
On war in Ukraine, the Royal father who is also the Assistant Publicity Secretary Association of Ndieze Ndigbo in the Diaspora call on world leaders to use the Easter celebration as a time to pursue peace. He said God hates bloodshed and as Christians who look up to him as saviour, all types of killings should stop.
HRM Dr. Ihenetu also prayed for peace to equally return to Nigeria where there has been reports of killings in the recent times.
