The founder and General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), HRM King Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere has offered an automatic employment to Mrs Ogechukwu Jecita Okafor one of the South Africa Returnees living at OPM free estates in Port Harcourt.
King Chinyere who was on a routine visit to the South Africa Returnees at OPM free estates in Port Harcourt on Monday 20th July 2026 discovered during his interactions with them that one of the returnees is a Registered Nurse who has been working in a hospital in South Africa before the xenophobic attacks which caused the federal government to repatriate them back to Nigeria.
King Chinyere reiterated his determination to ensure that those who are specialists in their various fields of endeavor will be assisted to secure employment.
” Those of you who are specialists and were working in South Africa before the wave of these xenophobic attacks that displaced you all will be assisted to secure a job”
” I am giving instant employment to the Registered Nurse at OPM free Specialist hospital in Port Harcourt” he said;
The man of God also identified another returnee Mrs Blessing Nwanna who was teaching in a school in South Africa before the xenophobic attacks and also offered her an automatic employment at OPM free school in Port Harcourt.
Recall that wave of xenophobic and anti-migrant violence has surged across South Africa, particularly in cities like Johannesburg and Pretoria, leading to deaths, widespread looting, and the displacement of thousands of African foreigners.
The violence has prompted several African nations, including Ghana, Mozambique, Malawi, and Zimbabwe, to repatriate hundreds of their nationals. The Nigerian government has evacuated nearly 1,500 of its citizens in seven batches which about 65 families have been offered free accommodations and feeding at OPM free estates in Port Harcourt while their children have been offered automatic scholarships by the Founder and General Overseer Omega Power Ministries (OPM) Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere.
Omega Power Ministries has impacted lives positively through Tithes and offerings from the members of the church for the past 16 years.
The cleric calls on the State Government, federal government, international donor agencies, NGO’s, Multi National Oil companies, private organizations to partner with OPM.
” We will welcome support from the state Government, Federal Government, United Nations, Donor agencies, NGO’s, Multinational oil companies and other eminent Nigerians”
Recall that the church built 43 free schools across many states in Nigeria, two free specialist hospitals, 19 free estates, free skills acquisition center, free school for children with special needs, free girls technical college and numerous local and overseas scholarships to the less privileged Nigerians.
