The Chairman of the Imole Campaign Council, Bamidele Salam, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of plotting to create unrest in Osun State ahead of the forthcoming governorship elections.
Speaking during an interview on Politics Today, Salam alleged that the opposition party’s strategy was to destabilise the state and portray it as incapable of maintaining peace and order before the polls.
According to him, the alleged plan is aimed at creating the impression, both within Nigeria and internationally, that Osun is unable to conduct its affairs in a civil and orderly manner.

“The plan of the APC in Osun State is to cause chaos. Their plan is to make the state appear to the rest of the world as being unable to conduct itself in a civil manner,” Salam said.
He urged residents of the state to remain peaceful and law-abiding despite rising political tensions, expressing confidence that the electorate would reject any attempt to undermine the democratic process.
The APC has not publicly responded to the allegation at the time of filing this report.
