EndSARS Protest: Ezeneche Eze Igbo Mekong urges FG to listen to  Nigerian Youths on police reform

As the protest by Nigerians across the globe spread to Mekong region of South East Asia, the Eze Ndigbo Mekong River, HRH Eze (Amb.) Uzochukwu Jerome Ezeneche has called on the Federal government to listen to the Youths before things spin out of control.

In a statement issued while addressing Nigeria community in Thailand, Ezeneche condemned incessant attack on Nigerian Youths by the now disbanded Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS).

According to the royal father, this ugly development send wrong messaged to the international community and also scare foreign investors away.

On the change of name from SARS to SWAT, Ezeneche who also holds the title of Nwatagwuoshimiri said, such jerk knee move by the police could further infuriate the rampaging youths.

He said instead of changing the name members of the disbanded police units should be deployed to the North East to fight Boko Haram.

While commiserating with those who lost their lives in the protest, Ezeneche called for adequate compensation for the deceased dependants.

While calling on Nigeria police to learn from developed countries, Ezeneche urge  the National Assemble to sponsor bill that will make car camera and body camera compulsory for commuters and the police. He said such measure will help check high-handedness of the police and disobedience on the part of the commuters.

As a matter of urgency, Ezeneche call on  President Muhammadu Buhari to adddess the Youths directly on his plans to end the crisis.
