Governor Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State has vowed to unravel and parade the masterminds of the innovation of the secretariat of Kaduna State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists a week ago.
Suspected political thugs had reportedly disrupted a press briefing and injured some journalists at the NUJ secretariat, in Kaduna, while members of APC split group, led by Sen. Suleiman Hunkuyi, were addressing journalists over their grievances concerning the conduct of the party’s congress election.
Governor el-Rufai spoke through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity , Mr. Samuel Aruwan, who visited the leadership of the NUJ to commiserate with members over the attack on journalists.
He said, “The State government has given directive to the police to investigate the matter, and the investigation is ongoing.
“The State government is ever ready to protect lives and property of not only journalists, but all citizens in the State”.
