Wife of the President, Mrs Aisha Buhari, has condoled the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) and families of six medical doctors from Ekiti state, who died in an auto crash on April 25.
The doctors, who were travelling to Sokoto for NMA’s 56th annual general conference, died on Kaduna-Abuja highway along with the driver of the bus conveying them.
The condolence of the Buhari is contained in a statement signed by her Special Assistant on Media, Mrs Adebisi Olumide-Ajayi on Tuesday in Abuja.
She expressed shock over the incident, and said that the deceased would be in the Guinness Book of Records for their contributions to the development of the health sector in the country.
She prayed Almighty God to grant the families and the people of Ekiti state the fortitude to bear the loss, and also wished the survivors of the accident speedy recovery. (NAN)
