Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, has revealed that he is currently experiencing difficulty walking and swelling in different parts of his body.
Edochie made the disclosure on Thursday during a visit to ailing Ghanaian actor Emmanuel Armah in Accra, Ghana, in a video circulating online.
During the visit, Edochie prayed for Armah’s recovery and offered financial assistance towards his treatment.
Speaking about his own condition, the veteran actor said he remained hopeful of recovering despite the physical challenges he is currently experiencing.
“Sitting down here, I’m not very well myself. Walking is a problem for me now, but I still have hope that I will recover myself.

“Sometimes I get up, and parts of my body are swollen. After some time, it goes down again. Like my hand is swollen now,” he said.
Edochie also expressed concern about becoming a burden to those around him, saying he had asked God to take his life when his time came rather than leave others to care for him.
“I just keep asking God, ‘You are the author of life. Whenever you feel it’s time for me to go, just take me, don’t let me bother the people who are around me. Just take me,’” he said.
Edochie’s comments came during his visit to Armah, who has been battling an illness for nearly 11 years.
“It is my belief that you will recover one day,” he told Armah.
