Nasarawa State Acting Governor Dr Emmanuel Akabe has conveyed warm wishes to the Muslim community as they mark the conclusion of this year’s Ramadan fast with Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
Addressing the occasion in Lafia on Wednesday, Dr Akabe emphasized the significance of prayers for the nation’s economic recovery and prosperity.
Dr. Akabe underscored the importance of supporting the Federal Government’s economic policies, led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, aimed at revitalizing the country’s economy. He urged the people of Nasarawa State to rally behind these initiatives for the restoration of economic prosperity.
He further urged Muslims to pray for divine guidance for leaders at all levels, encouraging them to govern with justice, humility, and a spirit of service for the collective good of humanity. Dr. Akabe emphasized the need for continuous supplication for peace, security, and economic stability in Nasarawa State.
Expressing gratitude for the culmination of the Ramadan fast, the Acting Governor urged Muslims to maintain the virtues of the holy month, including devotion, piety, and harmonious communal relations. He reiterated the importance of prayer for the well-being and prosperity of the state.
Dr. Akabe emphasized the spirit of inclusivity and tolerance, urging residents to embrace diversity and uphold peaceful coexistence. He assured citizens that Nasarawa State remains a beacon of unity, accommodating individuals from all backgrounds.
Dr. Akabe while concluding his address called for vigilance among the populace to ensure a safer society and urged compliance with traffic regulations during the festive period. He urged law enforcement agencies to intensify efforts to uphold law and order for the well-being of all citizens.
