The Edo State Police Command on Tuesday said that that the physical and credentials screening exercise for applicants seeking recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force commenced on Monday, March 9, at the Police Training School, Ogida, Benin City, Edo State.
Command spokesman, ASP Eno Ikoedem said the exercise has been peaceful and hitch-free, while being conducted in an orderly and transparent manner, with senior police officers and staff of the Police Service Commission (PSC) present at the venue to oversee and monitor the screening process in line with the established guidelines.
Ikoedem disclosed that all candidates who successfully applied and had the word “QUALIFIED” written on their submission slips but could not find their invitation letters were advised to forward a copy of their submission slip to the following email address: [email protected] for necessary action.
According to the command spokesman, documents applicants were required to present at the screening venue included Invitation Slip (with assigned table), Credential and physical Screening Form, Original National Identity Number (NIN) slip or NIMC card, O’ Level (GCE/SSCE) Certificate, Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age, Local Government/State of Origin Certificate, Trade Test/Certificate (for specialist applicants only), and Duly completed and signed Guarantor’s Form with photocopies and passport photographs of referees attached.

“Candidates are also expected to present original and duplicate copies of their credentials neatly arranged in two separate white flat files, with recent passport photographs attached.
“Applicants must appear for the exercise dressed in white T-shirt, white shorts, white canvas shoes, and white stockings,” the statement further reads.
The command assured members of the public that the exercise would continue in a fair, transparent, and merit-based manner.
It said applicants were equally advised to conduct themselves in an orderly manner and adhere strictly to the instructions provided by officials at the screening centre.
The command also reiterated that the recruitment exercise is free of charge and warned applicants to be wary of individuals who may attempt to extort money from them under the guise of offering assistance.
