Deputy Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly and representative of Ikeja Constituency II, Adedamola Richard Kasunmu, has called on party members to take the ongoing e-registration exercise seriously.
According to him, the initiative is aimed at digitising party membership to ensure proper documentation, eliminate duplication, enhance transparency, and align the party with modern technological best practices.
“Let me clearly emphasise that the e-registration is for everybody, old, new and intending members,” Kasunmu said.
Describing the exercise as the first of its kind, the lawmaker noted that it would be a continuous process carried out from time to time to strengthen the party’s structure and operations.
Kasunmu made these remarks during a one-day sensitisation summit and Appraisal held at Ojodu and Ikeja Constituency II, where he met with party executive members.
He urged the executives to recognise the importance of adapting to change, noting that as the largest political party in Africa, continuous evolution is inevitable. According to him, e-registration has therefore become a necessity rather than an option.

The Deputy Majority Leader further explained that the exercise goes beyond data collection, adding that it is a strategic move to strengthen the party’s political base.
“A digitally verified membership structure gives us better capacity for planning, mobilisation, and effective participation in elections. It empowers us as leaders and positions the party for sustainable success,” he stated.
To support the exercise, Kasunmu presented four tablets and two printers to the party secretariats at Seriki Aro Constituency Office and Ojodu Ward F.
“These centres will serve as hubs to ensure seamless, accessible, and efficient registration for our members and supporters,” he declared.
He also reminded party members that the party’s success in the 2027 elections depends largely on actions taken today, stressing that mobilisation is a continuous process and not a one-day effort.
The programme, a one-day sensitisation forum, was organised to motivate APC ward and LGA executives in Ojodu and Ikeja Constituency II towards achieving greater success in party membership expansion and the voters’ registration drive.
