Do more work for Ndigbo, group urges Buhari

Buhari-6

Chuks Onuoha, Umuahia

A coalition of Igbo groups has  urged President Muhammadu Buhari not to be deterred by the attitude of an Igbo cabal, who squandered funds in the name of  fruitless endorsement of  a presidential candidate, who eventually lost to him.

The  groups said they have observed increased work going on at most of the federal roads in the South East, especially the Enugu/Port Harcourt Expressway, and Onitsha/Enugu Expressway.

The group said the action of the cabal has made them  un-influential in the affairs of Ndigbo, as anti-graft agencies would soon go after them to give account of the money they spent during their fruitless endorsement exercise.

The coalition, which comprised World Igbo Youth Council, Southeast Women Professionals and Igbo Students Movement, said the Igbo cabal is now dwelling in the past, licking the wounds of their loss to president Buhari.

The group made the disclosure when they visited the Deputy National Chairman of All Nigeria Ethnic Nationalities Youth leaders in Umuahia, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, to formally notify him of the tremendous opportunities Buhari’s second tenure  has for Ndigbo. They said EFCC and ICPC should not allow members of the cabal to escape from the country until they have given account of what they did with Igbo funds.
