Arewa Youth Assembly (AYA) has called on the National Assembly to disclose the findings of the quality of petroleum products.
House of Representatives had launched a comprehensive investigation into the crisis rocking the oil and gas sector as it concerns crude oil supply chain and the quality of petroleum products imported or refined within the country.
Chairman, House Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream), Ikenga Ugochinyere, said the probe would provide insights into the petroleum sector.
AYA spokesperson, Mohammed Danlami, in a statement, yesterday, said the probe would douse the disagreement between the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority and the Aliko Dangote Group.
“We are calling on the National Assembly to make public the laboratory results from his own refinery to the public because information we are getting from different quota shows the product are sub-standard.
“In specific terms, we stand to make it clear to the public that Nigerian government is only after Excellence.”
