Amid the custody battle between popular singer David and his babymama Sophia Momodu, Dele Momodu has revealed why it all came as a surprise to him.
Recall that Daily Sun reported that the media mogul weighed in on the controversy by sharing the key issues at stake.
Addressing the original affidavit filed by Davido on his X page, Dele Momodu revealed that he was surprised as he and the artiste had only spoken a few days prior and nothing of the sort was mentioned.
The Ovation boss stated that he was left confused when he found out about the legal battle on social media.
“I had seen David’s affidavit about two weeks ago and I was very surprised as David and I had spoken on a video call days earlier, with him and Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, and he never told me he had any custody issues with my niece.
“So you can imagine my confusion to find out via social media and subsequently confirmed by my niece that he had filed an action in court seeking joint custody of their daughter”, Dele Momodu shared.
Speaking further, he disclosed that it was Davido’s father, Dr Adedeji Adeleke who settled the issue of non-payment of school fees mentioned in Sophia Momodu’s 102-paragraph affidavit.
According to him, the business tycoon cleared everything and also set up payments of future bills.
“Mercifully, I mentioned all to Dr Adedeji Adeleke and he responded positively, like a true grandfather. On the issue of non-payment of school fees, David’s Dad cleared everything and also set up payments of future bills”, he said.
