To foster gender equality and inclusivity in the hospitality industry, Continental Hotels Group is set to celebrate the International Women’s Day with a special week-long event to honour the women in its workforce.

Karl Hala, group general manager, expressed excitement over the initiative, emphasising the importance of recognising the vital contributions of women in the hospitality industry.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the incredible impacts women have made in shaping the hospitality sector.

“The week of festivities will feature a wide variety of activities aimed at promoting gender equality and inclusiveness. These include health talks, entertainment, sports and parties, all designed to foster empowerment and recognition.

“Through these events, we aim to encourage women’s advancement and provide incentives that will support their growth.”

He said the hotel group is committed to creating an environment where women can thrive.

Hala emphasised the importance of women’s unique perspectives and skillsets, which he believes are essential to the company’s continued success. “We are devoted to supporting women’s growth in leadership and decision-making roles,” he stated. Continental Hotels has equally implemented a nursery programme for working mothers, offering additional help to female staff members, balancing their careers and family life. “This initiative is one example of how we are dedicated to creating a more supportive workplace for women.”

Hala also stressed that Continental Hotels’ commitment to gender equality extends beyond the International Women’s Day celebrations. “We are steadfast in our efforts to foster inclusivity and encourage women’s professional development year-round.”

He called on other businesses to take a clue from Continental Hotels, saying, “Together, we can create a more inclusive and supportive environment for women to excel in all industries.”
